About
If you are looking for an HR Consultant with excellent knowledge of Employee Relations, Employee Engagement and HR Transformation Projects, who can bring value to your orgaisation and improve employee retention. then you might have landed on the right page.
I’m Karen (don’t let the name put you off) and owner of KT People an independent standalone HR Consultancy providing fractional HR support for SME’s and start-ups. I provide HR advice to business owners and line managers who either do not have their own HR department or are overloaded with the day to day running of the department and require some support with an HR transformation project.
I’m described as honest, straight talking, ethical and if I don’t know the answer to your question then I will make it my job to find it out. And I manage to deliver all this with integrity and professionalism while keeping my sense of humour.

I specialize in creating strategic people plans that are customized to align with your business objectives. By focusing on the entire employee lifecycle—from Day One through to Exit. A Career Pathway provides clear guidance for employees aspiring to advance within an organization. It is designed to align with the current organisational structure, outlining the necessary experience, competencies, training, and behaviors required to move up to the next level. In larger organisations, Career Pathways can also open doors to different areas, offering employees diverse opportunities for growth and development across various departments
Facilitating and project managing an organisation's culture and values is essential for ensuring they are deeply embedded within the company, going far beyond just words on a wall. It requires a strategic approach to integrate the values into every aspect of the business—from decision-making and leadership to employee engagement and day-to-day operations.
Supporting a growing business through the process of setting up an in-house HR department can be challenging, but with the initial assistance of an HR consultant, the transition can be much smoother. As the company scales, having an internal HR team becomes essential for managing recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and development. An HR consultant can provide valuable expertise to help design the structure, policies, and procedures that align with the company’s values and goals. This initial support ensures that the HR department is set up efficiently, creating a strong foundation for ongoing success, while allowing the business to focus on its growth and long-term objectives.
